Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated team in Leeds. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, potentially Key Stage 5.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a stimulating and orderly classroom environment that promotes learning, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic student development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide events, and continuous professional development activities.
- Contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme, where appropriate.
- Uphold the school's ethos, values, and policies.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent international teaching qualification.
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Proven ability to teach Mathematics effectively across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level) Mathematics.
- Experience with UK national curriculum standards.
- A Master's degree in Education or Mathematics.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
