Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our manufacturing team as General Laborers in Moncton, New Brunswick. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a leading industry company. As a General Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various production processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities. No prior manufacturing experience is strictly required; we value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators and skilled trades with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials.
• Perform general clean-up duties to maintain a safe and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, as required by production needs.
• Monitor production lines for anomalies and report any issues to supervisors promptly.
• Package finished products according to specifications and assist with inventory management.
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures rigorously to ensure a safe working environment for all.
• Perform quality checks on materials and products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Support maintenance activities by assisting with equipment upkeep and minor repairs.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Execute other duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall plant operations.

Required Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, bending, and reaching.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment which may include varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating a forklift or other heavy machinery (certification an asset).
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
