Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Backend Developer to join our innovative engineering team in San Francisco. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code using best practices and design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go (Java preferred)
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Demonstrable experience with RESTful API design and development
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous programming
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Contributions to open-source projects
