Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, and ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve common desktop and laptop problems, including operating system and application issues.
  • Assist with user account management, including password resets and access provisioning.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Document all support interactions and resolutions in the IT service management system.
  • Set up and configure new workstations and peripherals for employees.
  • Provide basic training to users on new software or system functionalities.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components and basic troubleshooting steps.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a desire to help others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training or an Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role.
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
  • Ability to speak German is a plus, but not required.
