Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our esteemed multidisciplinary team in the vibrant Nob Hill district of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, to a diverse patient population across various age groups and clinical presentations. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments for a diverse patient population.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based psychotherapy and treatment plans for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary, working collaboratively with emergency services when indicated.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives within the mental health services department.

Required Skills

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of New Mexico.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions.
  • Strong ethical foundation and adherence to professional guidelines and confidentiality standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, demonstrating cultural competency and sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of post-licensure experience in an outpatient, hospital, or integrated healthcare setting.
  • Specialization or advanced training in specific areas such as trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, or health psychology.
  • Board certification in Clinical Psychology.
  • Experience providing supervision to psychology interns or postdoctoral fellows.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources in New Mexico.
