Job Description

Join Target’s dynamic supply chain team as a Warehouse Material Handler. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, handling, and storage of merchandise within our St. Paul distribution center. We are looking for a motivated individual who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and safety in all tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Operate various types of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) safely and efficiently after proper training.
• Load and unload merchandise from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory in designated locations.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain organized storage areas.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 lbs, regularly.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center setting.
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift certification).
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
