Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Energy Program Specialist to join our dynamic team in Montreal. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring energy efficiency and renewable energy programs designed to benefit our customers and advance Quebec’s energy goals. You will collaborate with various internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of our initiatives, contributing directly to a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage energy efficiency and renewable energy programs from conception to completion.
  • Conduct research and analysis of energy markets, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor program performance, track key metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and customer service teams to promote program participation and success.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups.
  • Identify opportunities for program improvement, expansion, and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and program participants.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in energy program development, management, or implementation.
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency technologies, renewable energy systems, and sustainability principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (both French and English).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, M.Eng).
  • Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience with regulatory processes and utility operations.
  • Knowledge of Quebec's energy sector and relevant policies.
  • Fluency in French is highly preferred.
