Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Robotics Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing and research team in Plano, Texas. This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and optimizing robotic systems that enhance our production processes and explore new applications for automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, control systems, and programming, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test robotic systems, components, and software applications.
  • Integrate robotic solutions into existing manufacturing lines and new product development initiatives.
  • Program industrial robots (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, KUKA) for various tasks, including assembly, welding, and material handling.
  • Conduct simulations and feasibility studies for new robotic deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex robotic systems and automation equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results thoroughly.
  • Stay current with emerging robotics technologies and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain safety protocols for robotic operations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in robotics development or automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with industrial robot programming and control systems (e.g., ROS, PLC programming).
  • Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and control theory for robotic manipulators.
  • Experience with vision systems and sensor integration for robotics applications.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with collaborative robots (cobots) and human-robot interaction.
  • Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., Gazebo, V-REP, Siemens Process Simulate).
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for robotics.
