Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Art Teacher to join our creative department at St Anthony’s Girls’ Catholic Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented educator to deliver engaging and innovative art lessons to students across various key stages. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, potentially including Key Stage 5 (A-Level) depending on experience and school need.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of students, providing constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement creative and stimulating art curriculum content that caters to diverse learning styles.
  • Organise and participate in school events, exhibitions, and extracurricular art clubs.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Required Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Art at the secondary school level (minimum 2 years).
  • Excellent knowledge of various art forms, techniques, and historical contexts.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Art Education or a relevant subject.
