Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to oversee complex construction projects within the Greater London area, specifically based out of our Canary Wharf operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with a proven track record in construction management to join a world-renowned infrastructure group. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute all construction activities on site from inception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the daily operations of construction sites, including supervising staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress, report on status, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage site logistics, materials, and equipment.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts efficiently and professionally.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB).
  • First Aid certification.
