Job Description
As a Part-Time Retail Stock Associate at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store shelves are well-stocked and organized, contributing to a seamless shopping experience for our guests. You will be responsible for receiving, processing, and moving merchandise, maintaining a clean and safe backroom, and assisting with visual merchandising efforts on the sales floor. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to teamwork. Flexible hours are available to accommodate various schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload incoming merchandise from trucks and move to the backroom.
- Sort, organize, and stock merchandise onto shelves and displays according to planograms.
- Ensure aisles are clear and products are accurately priced and labeled.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom and sales floor.
- Assist with inventory counts and manage stock levels effectively.
- Support visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and balers safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals and provide excellent guest service.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock management.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with retail stockroom operations.
