Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our team in New Orleans. This role is crucial to our operations, involving the receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and shipping of products. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong work ethic, and be dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. We have immediate openings for all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload inventory items from trucks and containers, and check for damages or discrepancies.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards.
- Pick customer orders using handheld scanners and prepare them for shipment.
- Pack and label items accurately and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for delivery.
- Operate various equipment, including pallet jacks and dollies, in a safe manner (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy items (up to 49 lbs) for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
