Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Educational Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychological services to children, adolescents, and young adults within an educational or clinical setting. This role involves conducting psychological assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, providing counseling, and collaborating with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of our patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and adaptive functioning for diverse populations.
  • Interpret assessment results and write clear, concise, and clinically sound psychological reports.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, including therapeutic strategies and recommendations for educational accommodations.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address academic difficulties, social-emotional challenges, and behavioral concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, teachers, school administrators, and other medical professionals.
  • Participate in case conferences, individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and legal/ethical guidelines in educational psychology.
  • Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Skills

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in School Psychology or Educational Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in Ohio.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral experience in an educational or clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board certification in School Psychology or a related specialty.
  • Experience with a variety of diagnostic and intervention models (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy).
  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision or mentoring.
  • Research experience and publications in relevant fields.
