Job Description

We are immediately seeking a dedicated and energetic Restaurant Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team in Colorado Springs. This crucial role supports the kitchen operations by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, assisting chefs with basic food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene. Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are clean and sanitized.
• Properly store food items and supplies, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal according to company policies.
• Receive and store deliveries, verifying accuracy of orders and reporting discrepancies.
• Support kitchen staff in various capacities to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Required Skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety principles.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
