Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems under supervision.
- Learn to use CAD software and other engineering tools for drafting and analysis.
- Participate in fault diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing processes.
- Document work processes, findings, and project progress accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentors.
- Attend all required academic and vocational training sessions.
Required Skills
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in at least two Science or Technology subjects (Grade 4/C or above).
- Strong interest in mechanical engineering and a desire to learn.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic IT proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- A-Levels or BTEC in an engineering-related subject.
- Previous workshop experience or involvement in STEM projects.
