Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Warehouse Associate in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of products through our distribution center, contributing to our mission of delivering quality goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and accurately sort incoming shipments of products.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verifying inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and excellent punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labour role is an asset but not required.
- Forklift certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
