Job Description

As a Property Disposal Specialist at CBRE in Manchester, New Hampshire, you will play a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of assets, specifically focusing on the efficient and compliant disposal of surplus or end-of-life properties and equipment. This position involves coordination with various internal departments and external vendors, ensuring all disposal processes adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards. You will be responsible for assessing assets, determining the most cost-effective and environmentally sound disposal methods, and managing the entire disposal workflow from identification to final removal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and categorize surplus property and equipment for disposal.
  • Conduct thorough inventories and condition assessments of assets designated for disposal.
  • Determine optimal disposal methods, including sale, auction, recycling, donation, or landfill, based on asset type, value, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate logistics for asset removal, including scheduling, transportation, and site access.
  • Prepare and process all necessary documentation for asset disposal, maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding property disposal, including environmental and hazardous waste management.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to finalize asset disposal transactions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, recyclers, and auctioneers.
  • Provide regular reports on disposal activities, costs, and revenues.
  • Implement best practices to maximize recovery value and minimize disposal costs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in property, asset, or inventory management, with a focus on disposal.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and disposal regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
