Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our manufacturing team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced welders looking for a stable career with a global leader in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to produce high-quality components and assemblies according to specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, on different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics to determine appropriate welding techniques and sequences.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications, using measuring instruments.
- Clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
- Position and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with robotic welding systems.
