Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Asset Manager to join Brookfield Asset Management in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to contribute to the strategic management and optimization of our diverse asset portfolio. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying value-enhancement opportunities, executing investment strategies, and ensuring the long-term performance and growth of our assets. This role is open to international candidates requiring visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize portfolio value and achieve investment objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation, forecasting, and risk assessment for existing and potential assets.
• Monitor asset performance against benchmarks, budgets, and strategic plans, providing regular reporting and insights to senior management.
• Identify and execute opportunities for asset optimization, including capital improvements, operational efficiencies, and leasing strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., acquisitions, dispositions, legal, finance) and external partners (e.g., brokers, consultants) to support asset lifecycle management.
• Prepare detailed investment memoranda, presentations, and other documentation for investment committee review.
• Stay abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the asset portfolio.
• Assist in due diligence for potential new investments and divestitures.
• Manage tenant relationships and lease negotiations where applicable.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in asset management, private equity, or investment banking.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent understanding of real estate, infrastructure, or private equity asset classes.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Argus, Excel, Bloomberg).
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada, with company support for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CFA designation.
• Experience with large-scale, global asset portfolios.
• Knowledge of Canadian real estate or infrastructure markets.
• Familiarity with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in asset management.
