Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This critical role involves providing expert technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our cutting-edge industrial automation products and systems at customer sites. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our solutions, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our clients’ operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Rockwell Automation products and systems at various customer locations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, and software applications.
- Provide expert technical assistance and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and recommend system improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Document all service activities, including detailed reports of work performed, parts used, and system status.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, sales, and support teams to address customer needs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Rockwell Automation products, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during on-site service visits.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar role within industrial automation.
- Strong technical proficiency in PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix), HMIs, VFDs, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, ControlNet).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex electrical and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-centric approach.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 70%).
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Certifications in specific Rockwell Automation products or technologies.
- Experience with SCADA systems, industrial robotics, or process control applications.
- Prior experience working in diverse industrial environments (e.g., manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive).
- Fluency in additional languages.
