Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Loss Adjuster to join our dynamic team in Coventry. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional looking to relocate to the UK, as we are offering visa sponsorship for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling property, casualty, and other insurance claims on behalf of insurers. You will manage a diverse caseload, ensuring fair and prompt resolution while maintaining exceptional client service. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of insurance principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of insurance claims from initial notification through to resolution, including property damage, liability, and other complex claims.
• Conduct thorough on-site investigations to assess the extent of damage or loss, determine causation, and verify policy coverage.
• Liaise effectively with policyholders, brokers, insurers, and third parties to gather information and negotiate settlements.
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports detailing findings, assessments, and recommendations in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on claim-related matters.
• Identify and pursue recovery opportunities where appropriate.
• Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, upholding Sedgwick's reputation for excellence.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Loss Adjuster, ideally within property or casualty claims.
• Demonstrable understanding of insurance policies, terms, and conditions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence (or equivalent, convertible to UK licence) and willingness to travel within the region.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACII or Dip CII qualification (or equivalent international qualification).
• Professional membership with CILA (Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters) or similar body.
• Experience with complex commercial claims.
• Fluency in additional languages.
