Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food & Beverage Assistant to join our vibrant team in Hamburg, Germany. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As an F&B Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our restaurant, bar, and event services, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. This position is ideal for English-speaking candidates who may not yet be proficient in German, as our diverse team and international clientele ensure a welcoming and inclusive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using a POS system, ensuring all guest preferences and dietary requirements are noted.
- Efficiently serve food and drinks to guests, adhering to service standards and presentation guidelines.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and buffet stations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dining areas, ensuring tables are reset promptly and consistently.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and minor complaints with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bar teams, and other F&B colleagues to ensure seamless service.
- Process payments accurately using cash, credit card machines, and room charge systems.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including food safety regulations.
- Perform closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing for the next shift.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written) with excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 1 year) in a hotel or restaurant Food & Beverage role.
- Prior experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Hospitality-related vocational training or certification.
- A passion for food and beverage and a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
