Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Engineer to join our innovative team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable operation of medical equipment within healthcare environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of medical devices, from acquisition and installation to maintenance, calibration, and eventual decommissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the installation, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a wide range of medical equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks on medical devices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper use and care of medical equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, manufacturers, and vendors to evaluate new technologies and optimize equipment performance.
• Develop and implement equipment management plans, including procurement, inventory control, and lifecycle planning.
• Investigate and resolve equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment service, repairs, and inventory using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical engineering or medical equipment maintenance.
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, IEC, ISO standards).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex medical equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) certification or equivalent.
• Experience with a variety of medical imaging, laboratory, or life support equipment.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they apply to medical devices.
