Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Librarian to join our team at the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong commitment to public service, information literacy, and community engagement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in curating collections, assisting patrons with research and resource discovery, and developing engaging programs that enrich the lives of our community members. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality reference and information services to patrons of all ages, utilizing print, digital, and online resources.

- Assist patrons with technology, including public computers, Wi-Fi, digital resources, and basic software applications.
- Participate in collection development and maintenance, including selection, weeding, and merchandising of library materials.

- Provide guidance and support to library assistants and volunteers as needed.

Required Skills
- Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of library classification systems, cataloging principles, and information retrieval techniques.
- Proficiency in using integrated library systems (ILS) and various digital library platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement engaging programs.
- Familiarity with current trends in library services and community engagement.
