Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our esteemed healthcare team in Buffalo, NY. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output, and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive healthcare experience.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures as directed and within the scope of CNA practice.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York State or eligibility to obtain.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to care for others.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA in an acute care or long-term care setting.
