Job Description
Join our dynamic team at FedEx as a Forklift Operator. We are looking for dedicated individuals to manage our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient movement and storage of goods. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled operators seeking visa sponsorship to contribute to a critical part of our supply chain in Madison, WI.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Load and unload freight trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts.
- Scan and document inbound and outbound shipments accurately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for inventory scanning and data entry.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a high-volume logistics or warehousing environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
