Job Description
FedEx is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associates to join our team in Memphis, TN. We have both day and night shifts available to accommodate various schedules. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of our logistics operations, responsible for the safe and efficient handling of packages within our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading packages from trailers and containers.
- Sorting and scanning packages accurately according to established procedures.
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Inspecting packages for damage and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of shipments.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work assigned day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with scanning technology and inventory management systems.
