Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nottingham. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee various engineering project phases from inception to completion.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against targets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, health and safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site inspections, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Project Engineering role, preferably within infrastructure or construction.
• Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Project Management.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• Previous experience working on large-scale public infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with UK construction standards and regulations.
