Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nottingham. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee various engineering project phases from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against targets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, health and safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site inspections, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Project Engineering role, preferably within infrastructure or construction.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or Project Management.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
- Experience with NEC contracts.
- Previous experience working on large-scale public infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with UK construction standards and regulations.
