Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Graphic Designer to join our creative team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced media environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually stunning and effective designs for print and digital platforms, supporting our various publications and initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality visual content for print and digital platforms, including advertisements, marketing materials, social media graphics, website elements, and editorial layouts.
- Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and sales teams to understand project requirements and translate concepts into compelling visual designs.
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software, and design best practices to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
- Prepare files for print production and digital deployment, ensuring technical specifications are met.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
- Experience with motion graphics or video editing software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Familiarity with web design principles and UI/UX best practices
- Experience in the media or publishing industry
