Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and calibration on mechanical systems and components.

• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational protocols.
• Install, test, and commission new mechanical equipment and machinery.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians when required.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating machinery.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Previous experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing, or power generation environment.
• Knowledge of PLC controls and automation systems is a plus.
