Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. This role involves designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components for various industrial applications. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic circuits and systems for industrial automation and control applications.
- Perform simulations, prototyping, and testing of electronic hardware components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues, providing technical support and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, CSA).
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage product lifecycle activities from initial concept through to manufacturing and deployment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics design and development.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC).
- Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience with power electronics and motor control systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP).
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility in Canada.
- Experience with FPGA/CPLD design.
