Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Overland Park, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security principles, architecture, and implementation, with a passion for protecting critical systems and data. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management activities to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Automate security operations tasks and integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and security trends to proactively enhance security measures.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship on cloud security best practices to other team members.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in cloud security platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and vulnerability scanners.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, security architectures, and operating systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Proven experience in incident response and forensic analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and configuration management.
• Prior experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies.
