Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Tester to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team in Sacramento, CA. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify test requirements, create robust test plans, and implement automated solutions that enhance our continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability, performance, and user experience of cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects with clear, concise, and reproducible steps.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand product features, technical specifications, and user stories to create comprehensive test plans.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, and deployment.
• Perform root cause analysis of issues, provide detailed bug reports, and track defects through to resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices in test automation.
• Stay updated with new testing tools, strategies, and technologies.
• Ensure test coverage for functional, performance, security, and regression testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
• Extensive experience with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Pytest).
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and processes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
• Knowledge of database testing and SQL.
• ISTQB certification or similar.
