Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Millwrights to join our manufacturing team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Millwright, you will be crucial to maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our heavy industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art production facilities. You will work with complex mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision alignment tools, contributing directly to our operational excellence and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication, and inspection on a wide range of production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in systems such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production lines.
• Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to blueprints and other schematics.
• Operate various tools including lathes, grinders, cutting torches, and welding equipment for repair and fabrication tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with production teams, electricians, and other maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Millwright in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
• Skilled in welding (ARC, MIG, TIG) and fabrication.
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright certification.
• Experience with precision alignment techniques (laser alignment).
• Familiarity with PLC controlled machinery.
• Previous experience in the appliance manufacturing industry.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
