Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Advisor to join our growing Public Sector advisory team in Manchester. In this crucial role, you will leverage your expertise in public health policy, strategy, and implementation to advise a diverse range of clients, including local authorities, NHS trusts, and national government agencies. You will contribute to projects aimed at improving population health outcomes, addressing health inequalities, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of public health interventions. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a tangible difference in public health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to public health advisory projects, from strategy development to implementation support.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of public health data, policies, and best practices.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations and strategic plans for clients.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagements, and consultations with public health professionals and community groups.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of public health programs and interventions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, policies, and innovations in public health.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm's knowledge base.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a public health advisory, policy, or research role.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex public health concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and project management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and presentation software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a consulting environment or for a large public sector organisation.
