Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our dynamic team as a Software Engineer Intern. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of new features for Booking.com's web and mobile applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in collaboration with a mentor.
- Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
- Engage with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Learn and apply new technologies and programming languages as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with web development concepts (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) or back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Node.js).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Exposure to database technologies (SQL or NoSQL).
- Previous participation in coding competitions, open-source projects, or personal side projects.
