Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in hospitality? Hilton Manchester Deansgate is seeking dedicated Conference & Banqueting Staff to deliver exceptional service during our diverse range of events. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed. This is an on-site, part-time position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have memorable event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the set-up and breakdown of conference rooms and event spaces according to specific requirements.
- Serving food and beverages to guests during events, ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of all event areas before, during, and after events.
- Responding to guest inquiries and requests efficiently and courteously.
- Collaborating with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- A positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays or equipment (up to 20kg).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within any industry is a plus, but not essential.
- A basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
