Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and analytical Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across various client engagements. You will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and helping clients build robust risk management frameworks. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses for client projects.
- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators and emerging risks.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive risk reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into business operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in risk management.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and ideally Python or R.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
- Proven problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and methodical approach.
- Solid understanding of core risk management principles and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software solutions.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Prior professional experience in financial services, consulting, or a related risk-focused role.
