Job Description

Are you ready to kickstart your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Amazon is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Warehouse Associates to join our team in Manchester. No previous experience is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training from day one to ensure you have all the skills you need to succeed. This is an immediate start position on a day shift, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop valuable skills in logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and stow products safely and accurately within the warehouse
  • Pick customer orders using handheld scanners and other equipment
  • Pack and ship customer orders, ensuring items are correctly labelled and prepared for dispatch
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) if certified and required, or after receiving training
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets
  • Troubleshoot problems and escalate issues as needed

Required Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 15 kg (33 lbs) frequently throughout the shift
  • Basic computer navigation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work required shifts, including weekends and public holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment (not mandatory)
  • Experience using handheld scanners or other inventory management tools
