Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Denver. This role is critical in integrating security into every phase of the software development lifecycle, ensuring our applications are built securely from the ground up. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to implement robust security practices, automate security testing, and maintain compliance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security tools and processes within our CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA) and integrate it into the development workflow.
- Conduct security reviews of application architecture and code.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and enforce security best practices and coding standards.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture and DevSecOps maturity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide security training and guidance to development and operations teams.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Hands-on experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols, security firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, AWS Security Specialty).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.
