Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Entry-Level Social Media Coordinator to join our vibrant team for a paid internship. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (text, image, video) in line with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
- Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and competitor activity
- Engage with online communities, respond to comments and messages, and foster positive interactions
- Support the analysis of social media performance data and contribute to reporting
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies
- Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, strategy, and client services
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for social media campaigns
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (bilingualism preferred)
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective best practices
- Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, basic photo/video editing software)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Passion for digital trends and social media innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree/diploma program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Previous experience with social media management (personal or academic projects count)
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, native platform insights)
- Basic understanding of SEO and SEM principles as they relate to social media
