Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused English-Speaking IT Helpdesk Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hamburg, Germany. This role is crucial for providing first-line technical support to our international employees, ensuring minimal disruption to their daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and chat.
- Log, prioritize, and manage support tickets using an IT service management system, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Assist users with account management, password resets, and access permissions.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Document technical solutions and procedures to enhance the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with second-level support teams and other IT departments to resolve complex issues.
- Educate users on best practices for IT security and system usage.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent certifications
- Experience with Active Directory and basic server administration
- Knowledge of macOS and Linux operating systems
- Previous experience in a multinational or enterprise IT support environment
