Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Compliance (GRC) Analyst to join our team in Montreal. This role is crucial for ensuring that RBC’s operations adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices in Governance, Risk, and Compliance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance risks, contributing to the integrity and resilience of our financial services. This position is open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on existing policies and procedures.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of GRC frameworks and tools.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports and responding to compliance inquiries.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to GRC.
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
- Identify and report on potential compliance breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure integrated risk management.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of GRC principles and methodologies
- Experience with regulatory compliance in the financial services industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable controls
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CIPP, CRISC, GRCP)
- Experience with GRC software platforms (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, MetricStream, Archer)
- Knowledge of Canadian financial regulations (e.g., OSFI guidelines)
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
