Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and customer-focused Delivery & Courier drivers to join our team in Munich. This role offers flexible hours, making it ideal for individuals seeking a dynamic work environment with the ability to manage their schedule. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of parcels and documents, ensuring exceptional service to our valued customers throughout Munich. You will operate a company vehicle and interact daily with a diverse range of clients, representing the DHL brand with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and collect packages and documents within designated routes in Munich.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections, answering questions and resolving minor issues professionally.
- Scan and log all packages accurately using handheld devices.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance, reporting any issues promptly.
- Handle cash on delivery payments where applicable, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers in English.
Required Skills
- Valid German Class B driving license (or equivalent EU license) with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher) for communication with customers and colleagues.
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or driving role is highly preferred.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Munich and surrounding areas, or ability to quickly learn routes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 kg.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in German is a significant advantage.
- Experience with handheld scanning devices and logistics software.
- Familiarity with local traffic regulations and delivery procedures in Germany.
