Job Description
Join Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi as a key member of our Delivery and Ground Operations team. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently for the timely pickup and delivery of cargo, luggage, and other operational items, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Ensure all deliveries are made in accordance with specified routes, schedules, and security protocols.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance reporting to ensure fleet readiness and safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and other required documentation.
- Assist with baggage handling, sorting, loading, and unloading aircraft cargo and passenger luggage.
- Operate various ground support equipment (e.g., pushback tractors, baggage tugs, cargo loaders) safely and proficiently.
- Guide aircraft to and from parking positions, following established marshaling procedures.
- Perform basic aircraft servicing tasks such as water and lavatory services as required.
- Ensure a safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft, working in close coordination with flight crew and other airport personnel.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with flight crew, airport personnel, team members, and customers in English.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) to communicate effectively in an international airport environment.
- Valid international driving license or ability to obtain a UAE driving license within a specified timeframe (mandatory for Delivery Driver aspect).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding airport operational environment.
- Strong physical stamina and capability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and bending.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet strict deadlines and schedules.
- Unwavering commitment to safety, security protocols, and operational procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in a delivery, logistics, or airport ground operations role.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating various types of ground support equipment.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, Filipino, Urdu).
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
