Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant team in Sutton. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care and education to children, fostering their development through play-based learning, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. You will work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to uphold our commitment to excellence in early years education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that meet the developmental needs of children.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular feedback on their child's development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.

Required Skills

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Cache, NNEB)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and implement engaging activities
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Experience with SENCo duties or working with children with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of various early years teaching methodologies (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia)
