Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Room Service Attendant to join our dynamic team. As a Room Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests in their rooms, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests’ stay by delivering exceptional dining experiences directly to their doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately process room service orders via phone or in-person, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted.
  • Prepare trays and carts with food and beverages according to established standards, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
  • Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely and professional manner, adhering to service etiquette.
  • Set up and present food and beverage items within the guest room, ensuring all items are placed correctly and neatly.
  • Provide accurate information to guests regarding menu items, daily specials, and hotel services.
  • Collect used trays and dishes from guest rooms and designated areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food preparation areas, service stations, and storage.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations and hotel policies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and other hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivery.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays, push carts, and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience (6+ months) in a hotel, restaurant, or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
