Job Description

As a Picker and Packer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in our fulfillment center operations. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently select customer orders from inventory and prepare them for shipment. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or scanner instructions.
• Efficiently pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring products are secure and protected.
• Verify product integrity and quantity against order requirements.
• Operate essential warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, safely and responsibly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient environment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Support team goals by consistently meeting productivity and quality targets.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic computer skills (for scanner/terminal use).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 49 pounds, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or similar environment.
• Experience with handheld scanning devices.
