Job Description

As a Cold Storage Worker, you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, responsible for the accurate and timely handling of products within our refrigerated and frozen storage areas. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in temperatures as low as -10°F (-23°C).

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and label products according to order sheets within cold storage environments.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if necessary).
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and temperature control of goods.
• Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in all cold storage areas.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and company safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

Required Skills

• Ability to work consistently in cold temperatures (down to -10°F or -23°C) with appropriate protective gear.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs) throughout a shift.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or food distribution environment.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
