Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our front office team in Richardson. The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during the overnight shift, ensuring guest satisfaction, and accurately reconciling all hotel revenue. This role is critical for maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel and providing a seamless experience for our guests, especially during non-traditional hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all end-of-day accounting functions, including reviewing and balancing all hotel accounts, verifying cash and credit card transactions, and preparing daily reports.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously during the overnight hours.
  • Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor security cameras and conduct regular property walks to ensure guest safety and security.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Answer multi-line telephone systems and direct calls appropriately.
  • Prepare for the next day's operations by organizing necessary paperwork and reports.
  • Perform other front desk duties as required, including light cleaning and organizing the lobby area.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service experience, preferably in hospitality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) such as OnQ, Opera, or similar
  • Associate's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • First Aid and CPR certification
